Auburn’s new head football coach Gene Chizik visited with members of the Greater Birmingham Auburn Club on Wednesday night, March 25th at Rosewood Hall in Homewood, AL. The GBAC held their annual Recruiting Wrap-Up with Mark Murphy of Inside the Auburn Tigers in conjunction with a welcoming reception for Coach Chizik. Fans had the opportunity to welcome Coach Chizik back to Auburn as well as visit with him for autographs and photos.
Coach Chizik spoke about the recruiting class, the first day of spring practice and his plans for the upcoming season. The biggest applause from the crowd came when someone in the back of the room asked if he was afraid of recruting against Nick Saban. Coach Chizik replied “I’m not sure who that is…” War Eagle!
