The Chilton Auburn Club gathered at the First United Methodist Church in Clanton, AL for their annual Unsung Hero Banquet and introduction of their endowed scholarship fund.
Over the years the Chilton Auburn Club has honored an Unsung Hero that has been an integral part of the Auburn family. On Tuesday night, the Club awarded the 2009 Unsung Hero Award to former head football coach Tommy Tuberville. Coach Tuberville was honored for the way he ran the Auburn football program with integrity for the last 10 years. Former players Brett Eddins (DE - #94) and Ben Leard (QB - #14) along with Chaplain Chette Williams honored Coach Tuberville. They spoke about Tuberville’s commitment to educating players and molding young men to be productive members of society.
