  1. Huntsville-Madison County Auburn Club takes over US Space & Rocket Center

    The Huntsville-Madison County Auburn Club hosted their annual party and scholarship presentation ceremony at the US Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville. Nearly 600 Auburn alumni and fans crowded into the Davidson Center along I-565 to hear updates from Auburn University. The speakers included LoriAnn Summers, Assistant VP of Alumni Affairs; Rod Bramblett, Voice of the Auburn Tigers; Jeff McNeill, VP of Development; Lee Evans, Dean of the Harrison School of Pharmacy and Gene Chizik, Head Football Coach.

  2. Shoals Area Auburn Club Welcomes Coach Chizik

    The Shoals Area Auburn Club welcomed head coach Gene Chizik to the Lister Hill Credit Union in Muscle Shoals on Monday night.  Over 300 Auburn Alumni and fans crowded into the auditorium to meet Coach Chizik, have pictures made with Aubie and hear updates from Auburn University from Chizik, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Timothy Boosinger and President of the Auburn Alumni Association, Nancy Fortner.

  3. “Cullman Tiger Walk” Welcomes Coach Chizik to North Alabama

    An excited crowd of Auburn Alumni and fans welcomed head football coach Gene Chizik, head women’s basketball coach Nell Fortner, Aubie and others to the Cullman Civic Center on Thursday night.  Aubie led the group that consisted of Coach Chizik, Coach Fortner, Dr. Debbie Shaw (VP of Alumni Affairs), Dr. RIchard Brinker (Dean of Forestry and Wildlife Sciences) and Toni Littleton-Rich (Scholarship Coordinator - Alumni Affairs) through Cullman’s own version of “Tiger Walk”.

  5. Coach Chizik visits Montgomery

    Coach Gene Chizik spoke to a packed house at the Embassy Suites in downtown Montgomery on Tuesday night as part of the Montgomery Auburn Club’s 2009 Annual Barbecue dinner.

    Other guests included Assistant VP of Alumni Affairs, Lori Ann Summers, VP of Development, Jeff McNeal and Dean of the School of Forestry and Wildlife Sciences, Dr. Richard Brinker.

    Former Auburn defensive end Brett Eddins and member of the Montgomery Auburn Club’s board introduced Coach Chizik with stories of his commitment of making Auburn men during his time as Auburn’s defensive coordinator.

  7. Curtis Luper visits Emerald Coast Auburn Club

    Due to the possibility of severe weather and not being able to make it back to Auburn in time for a meeting on Friday morning, Coach Chizik sent running backs coach and recruiting coordinator Curtis Luper to Fort Walton Beach, FL for the Emerald Coast Auburn Club’s annual dinner.

    Coach Luper got lots of laughs as he described getting the call from Coach Chizik to come coach at Auburn and how he helped recruit Coach Trooper Taylor away from Oklahoma State as well.  If you get a chance to hear Coach Luper speak, you should definitely take advantage of the opportunity.
